through our unique 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Program

Learn how to teach the  tools of the physical practices of yoga and mindfulness that are aligned with the military’s culture. Be a part of our thriving community of service members, military families, yoga instructors, and veterans who enhance the resilience, endurance, strength, spiritual vitality, and readiness of our nation’s military.

This training is specifically designed for active duty, veterans, and family of military to teach to active duty service members.

Weekend Hours: Saturday Sessions are 12:30-20:30 & Sunday Sessions 13:15-18:30

2 Weekly classes per week (at West Point Yoga Club or elsewhere. Will be announced closer to date)

Content to be covered

We offer all the requirements to comply with Yoga Alliance standards in addition to teaching how to incorporate the tools of yoga into the the military culture, particularly through PT.

Some of the topics that will be in covered are:

  • Fundamentals of teaching yoga poses (asana)

  • Anatomy for yoga and Injury Awareness for military

  • Breathing (pranayama) for Balance and Endurance

  • Mindfulness and Meditation for Resilience in the military

  • Sequencing for yoga classes and PT program

  • Yoga Philosophy and how to integrate into military culture

  • Ethics of Yoga and more

All content has been deigned and taught by lead trainer, Phoebe Miller

along with nOMad teachers/veterans, Amy Gatzemeyer and Jessica Bugbee Porro (bios to come)
